Come out to the Pour House this Friday night and experience some original North Carolina roots rock. Urban Soil and The Freeway Revival consist of musicians from all across North Carolina and draw their inspiration from the best jam and rock bands to create their unique sounds.
Urban Soil, whose home is in Raleigh, has members that live all over this great state, from the Triangle all the way to Boone. The powerful and soulful vocals of Sarah Reinke carry you through the medley of sounds provided by the skills of Eric Chesson on guitar and Greg Meckley on violin. The band flawlessly jams through styles of many American genres like swing, blues, rock and western. Just like their music, it will be hard for you to stay in the same place for too long.
Coming down the mountain from Asheville, the Freeway Revival is going to pair quite nicely with Urban Soil. They share a similar approach to music. The Freeway Revival also pulls a myriad of styles into their jams. Instead of the accompaniment of the violin the Freeway revival, adds the keys and pedal steel into the mix.
If you’re looking for a little bit more to whet your appetite you can listen to both bands below. We hope to see you out there with us this Friday!! Doors at 8 PM.
